The first Goa trip of my adult life

I was a little embarassed to type out the headline but it is what it is. A trip to Goa was pending for long.

I have been frowned upon by normal people (those who visit Goa at normal intervals, which is once a month) for not knowing Goa the way most Indians do. But wait, there's more laughable news coming up. R had never visited Goa in his life before this whirlwind totally-did not-see-it-coming-kind of trip. Not even as a child!

The point behind all this background story is most of you reading this post possibly already know a lot about Goa, definitely much more than R and I. So I'll not bore you with any painstaking details of Goa beaches, hotels, shacks and flea markets. I am just leaving you with some pics from trip.

Oh, two quick bits of traveller wisdom sharing.

Firstly, although it's May, Goa wasn't as hot as most would imagine. It was sunny but still pleasant and breezy during the day and misty and chilly at night. I honestly don't know if we got lucky or if this is how the place is at this time of the year.

Secondly, if you are in South Goa, Cola Beach is highly recommended. It is secluded, clean and has a lagoon on the other side of the beach, in case you are tired of taking dips in the salty water.

So as promised, no more words, just pics. Keep scrolling.
